  ::  DR. TRAVIS PLUMLEE



   


Dr. Travis Plumlee is a full-time professional speaker. He worked for several years in hospitals and teaching as a professor at the University level in the various fields of human behavior. He is national board certified as a cognitive behavioral therapist, national board certified addictions specialist, national board certified domestic violence therapist, licensed master social worker, chemical dependency specialist, certified AIDS counselor etc...

He received his bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees from schools in Texas and Louisiana; all in the fields of human sciences. He performed two post-graduate research fellowships. One with the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and one with the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

He is a recipient of the Dr. Frist Humanitarian Award, the Agape Award from the National AIDS Foundation, the Benson Award for the Improvement of Healthcare, The Quality of Life award and finally, he was recognized by the governor of Texas as a good will ambassador for his pioneering work in the field of family violence and women's issues. The Travis Plumlee Center for Women and Children in Texas is named in his honor. He has appeared on numerous television and radio programs. He has produced numerous videos and audio-tapes on family issues. He has authored two books and currently writes weekly articles on the family for church papers in 17 states. He is an ordained minister and a father, a husband, and most importantly, a disciple of Jesus Christ.
